Operations Expert  

 

We are now looking for an open-minded and team-oriented Operation Expert to join our team.

 

The general purpose of your role will be to perform and manage remote operational support, troubleshoot the equipment to solve technical and operating problems of the customer’s assets, and report, guide, and propose maintenance actions and advice to reach delivery quality and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

The preferred location for this position is in Frauenfeld, Switzerland but also Hamburg, Germany is negotiable.

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

As an Operations Expert your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Perform and manage remote operational support, troubleshoot, and tune the equipment to solve technical and operating problems of the customer assets, and report, guide and propose maintenance actions and advice to achieve delivery quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Make an analysis and a guide with conclusions/advice and recommendations (reports) for solving the technical and operational problems of the customer. Report and escalate related work progress to relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Report and propose improvement needs of the products/services and solutions for relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Report and propose product or service improvements for non-portfolio products.
  • Analyse and troubleshoot asset performance issues and customer feedback data to guide and improve maintenance and operation of the installation as well as services delivered.
  • Visit sites and customers when deeper product, system and performance analysis is needed.
  • Participate in customer meetings as an expert when complex operational problems are handled.
  • Providing technical feedback and solutions to customers for fluid analysis deviations.
  • Provide input for after-sales information, e.g.  Service bulletin creation, product services and maintenance Manual updates.
  • Provide specific technical support to sales when needed during the sales.

 

What do we expect from you?

 

  • Bachelor/Master of in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Marine Engineering or equivalent
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written.
  • Proven reporting and analytical skills.
  • Experience of Marine and/or Power Plant installations, engines, auxiliary systems and processes with good understanding of our customers business.
  • Capability to see the big picture.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Good skills in communication, customer orientation and self-management.

 

As an ideal candidate you might also have… 

 

  • Experience in using equipment monitoring tools and HMI’s is of advantage.
  • Knowledge in engine and/or system performance and related analytics is seen as a merit.
  • Proactive, systematic, and organized way of working.
  • Open to learn, adapt and develop to new technologies.
