Accountant, FSAS

Wärtsilä Singapore is looking for an Accountant, Financial Stautory Accounting Services (FSAS) to join us. The role is responsible for on-time, reliable, high quality financial and management reporting internally in compliance with Corporate and International guidelines and local requirements

 

Your main responsibilities will include the following:

Proactively prepare and support company level reporting, according to Wärtsilä Corporation accounting manual, guidelines and local accounting requirements.
• Period end closing activities on company level in SAP and HFM.
• Assist in external auditing, internal auditing and internal control reporting of the company.
• Support financial standard material to the company stakeholders to performance key measures defined by FSAS.
• CIT Tax & Defer tax related calculations, postings, reclaims and handling other tax related matters, include Transfer pricing documents.
• Indirect taxes, VAT NL declaration and co-ordination and key contact with local tax agent to ensure timely and accurate declaration, and update any new tax development
• Engage ad-hoc special projects and provide recommendations on overall improvements in the general ledger system by researching and assessing standardized work flow procedures and policies.
• Support and participate in
Wärtsilä Shared Service Centre (WSSC) activities/projects in relation to account payables, payments, travel and vender master data etc.
• Support and prepare financial report for
Wärtsilä Malaysia and key contact and co-ordinate with local accounting consultancy firm of Wärtsilä Vietnam in preparing financial report, data requirement and daily accounting service and support.
• Support financial standard material to the company stakeholders to performance key measures defined by FSAS.
• Prepare to fully support the local activities of
Wärtsilä Singapore on a broad range of subjects, as is often the case in a smaller company in Wartsila, and act as a full team player both locally and also with other colleagues in the Group

 

Ideally, you should posses the following:
• Degree in Finance/ Accounting or related field
• 4-5 years of experience in financial accounting and taxation role
• Strong Financial Statutory Accounting Knowledge and Taxation laws
• Good written and spoken English
• Preferably familiar with SAP
• Strong team player with positive attitude
