Agile Coach

About the Position 

 

As Agile Coach, part of the Impact & Insights team, you will be empowered to build the transformation engine for a new way of working in HR and the wider organisation so as to deliver on our HR strategy and be ready for the Future of Work. You will be responsible for the development and deployment of world-class agile programs, tools and capabilities to help prepare the global organisation to become people-centric and future fit. You will coach leaders and their teams, providing guidance to ensure effective application of agile values and principles. You will also serve as an agent of change that models and reinforces agile values. You will provide advanced knowledge, consultation and support in the areas of organisational effectiveness, team effectiveness, employee experience and new ways of working supporting the HR organisation as well as businesses in the development of the operating model and initiatives.

In this role, you will focus on the following: 

 

Organisational Effectiveness 

  • Ensure that we understand modern capabilities to drive our HR services now and into the future 
  • Develop agile tools and methods to ensure the organisation has the right capabilities to maximize performance 
  • Conduct capability analysis and generate insights to recognize organisational capability gaps and opportunities  
  • Build organisational capability development strategies, such as creating and maintaining annual roadmap for agile learning and development  

 

Supporting and Coaching High Performing Teams  

  • Identify agile best practices for building high-performing teams to accelerate our transformation and tackle emerging team challenges  
  • Design and develop a set of programs and tools for accelerating team performance leveraging agile values and approach 
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to provide process to support and enable leaders to achieve and sustain high-performing teams, including root cause analysis and agile intervention design and delivery 
  • Provide subject matter expertise and coach teams within HR and the wider organisation who want to embrace agile mindset and embed in their ways of working 

 

Employee Experience 

  • Take an active role in developing and enabling future-ready employee experience 
  • Define and create the desired employee experience by partnering within the HR community and businesses to embed agile values and methods in the development of the entire employee journey 
  • Develop employee experience improvement plan and facilitate the global HR Community to promote learning and best practice sharing 

 

New Ways of Working 

  • Promote and role model a ‘test and learn’ approach 
  • Collect feedback and data from ‘test and learn’ pilots and report out on pilot progress 
  • Set up and facilitate agile governance and ceremonies (e.g. sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives and backlog refinement) 
  • Identify and direct the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality, efficiency and flexibility across the team 

 

Thought Leadership & Best Practices 

  • Be a trusted advisor at all levels of the organisation and looked upon to provide expert advice and guidance on all matters related to agile mindsets, methodologies, and measures of success 
  • Serve in projects providing agile expertise as assigned 

 

Your people leadership responsibilities will be: 

  • Work effectively across reporting lines within our HR Communities of Expertise, across HR and the business, in project mode covering agile and traditional waterfall. 

 

About You 

 

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with: 

  • Ability to understand business strategies and translate these into actionable and compelling organisational and team development initiatives 
  • Innovative thinking applied to identify opportunities to deliver business impact 
  • Formal certification and experience as an agile coach a must, additional certifications as scrum master, product owner or agile certified practitioner a plus 
  • Formal coaching certification preferred 
  • Experience with agile management tools (eg. Jira, Confluence, Jira Align, etc.) 
  • Experience with agile frameworks and methodologies (e.g. Kanban, Scrum, Safe, etc.) 
  • Practical exposure to design thinking and service design 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of agile concepts, best practices, and principles 
  • Experience putting design thinking and theory in practice to improve organizational effectiveness 
  • Experience executing projects in full agile, hybrid or waterfall environments 
  • Track record of driving talent outcomes through technology innovation and automation 
  • Demonstrated experience in strategy development and strategic planning  
  • Experienced in workshop design and facilitation while working with senior leaders and management teams 
  • Experience working within diverse teams and multi-country environments 
  • Outstanding ability to analyse data and discern business insights  
  • Effective project management skills, driving closure on key milestones and overseeing timely delivery, with good prioritisation skills 
  • Adaptive with proven abilities to effectively partner and engage with cross functional team and process experts 
  • Demonstrated curiosity and capacity for learning
