Agreement Supply Chain Expert

Marine Business is looking for a dedicated Agreement Supply Chain Expert to work within Service Unit Nordic and Baltics Contract Management. 

 

In this role you will be working as a team player in demanding maintenance agreements. Your key accountabilities and responsibilities include supplier relationships management and monitoring of suppliers’ performance. 

 

Your targets also include purchase of non-portfolio engine spare parts and components for the engine reconditioning work, planning and managing inventories for maintenance agreements. You will report to the agreement responsible Contract Manager and General Manager Service Unit Contract Management. 

 

The position is located in Vaasa, Finland. 

 

Responsibilities


- Scout and source new subcontractors
- Negotiate, agree and maintain supplier purchase agreements in close cooperation with stakeholders
- Manage sourcing and purchasing activities according to assigned agreements
- Purchase spare parts and services internally and externally for non-portfolio engines reconditioning work 
- Review and verify technical specifications and requirements as basis for material planning or request for   quotations in cooperation with other internal functions 
- Manage purchase requisitions based on demand and existing stock and execute purchase orders
- Establish and maintain spare parts and component warehousing for agreements 
- Plan, manage and report inventory levels of spare parts 

 

Requirements 


- BSc, BBA or equivalent
- Proactive and independent person who demonstrate ownership and responsibility for driving own work
- Cost awareness & effectiveness
- Systematic and organized way of working
- Excellent understanding of subcontracting and supply chain processes with min 5 years of experience in sourcing 
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Good knowledge of 4-stroke diesel engines
- Good command of Finnish and English, other language skills are considered as an advantage
- Willingness to travel
