Plant Manager

PLANT MANAGER

 

We are looking for a PLANT MANAGER to join our Power Plant team in Chihuahua, that will be in charge of planning, leading, and managing operation and maintenance activities at the 111 MW plant.

 

What will you be doing

As a PLANT MANAGER, you will be accountable to plan, lead, and manage operation and maintenance activities at the plant and assigned team to ensure customer satisfaction and to reach set contractual quality, financial, cost and time targets.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electromechanical or Electronic or Electrical or related) or 4 years of experience managing large operations.

 

As a PLANT MANAGER, you will focus on these responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the Mobilisation Process of the O&M

• Plant performance indicators according to the contract

• Coordinate with Management resources the development and training of O&M personnel

• Operations & Maintenance Management for assigned plant (Chihuahua)

• Responsible for all activities relating to the daily contract management at the power plant

• Inclusive of planning and implementation of plant operations & maintenance.

• Communicate effectively with the plant team relative to the condition of the plant equipment and performance and to provide suggestions for improvements

• Administration and training of skilled and motivated contract management personnel to assure good teamwork.

• Establish and implement standard Wärtsilä Services procedures and Contract Management process

• Prepare reports, plans, and budgets as instructed by the Contract Manager

• Identify and actively seek to improve operational & maintenance reliability and availability Main responsibilities Required

• Plant performance according to agreement

• Operations & Maintenance management for assigned plant

• Maintain Agreement KPI's on a healthy result

• Execution of all daily activities according to agreement at the plant including planning and implementation of plant operations & maintenance.

• Development of competencies, teamwork, and way of working to ensure highly skilled and motivated personnel

• Effective communication with the plant team

• Securing staff safety

• Establish and implement standard operations procedures according to Wärtsilä Code of Conduct as well as global Contract management processes.

• Prepare reports, plans, and budgets as instructed by the Agreement Manager

• Identify and actively seek to improve operational & maintenance reliability and availability

• Manage local requirements such as housing, transportation, logistics, etc.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Excellent command of English, both written and oral.

• Bachelor/ University Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electromechanical or Electronic or Electrical or related) or 4 years of equivalent experience managing large operations.

• Know how to motivate, engage and inspire large teams

• Have a strong emotional intelligence

• Experience in the development of technical resources

• Excellent organizational skills

• Strong collaborator with people from different parts of the organization and with different cultures

• Sense of urgency and be a serviceable person
