Wärtsila Gas Solutions located in Asker, Norway, is looking for an Expert Analyst to join the Digital Offering team. As an Expert Analyst you will be a key member of the Digital Offering team working with creating new product features and insights that will transform the gas solution value chain and business. As a contributor to Wärtsilä's Smart Marine transformation, you will be developing your career by expanding your experience and skillset within an industry-leading, highly international environment. The position reports to Digital Operations Manager, Wärtsilä Gas Solutions.


The preferred location for the position is in Asker, Norway.  


 Your role and tasks


Key responsible for identifying opportunities for creating Asset Management solutions with the aim of optimizing total cost of ownership for our customers.

  • Conduct and lead analysis of asset operational data
  • Prototype and test software application features
  • Collaborate and interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Deploy our digital solutions to new and existing customers
  • Train and perform follow-up of users of our digital solutions
  • Support business development, strategy and pre-sales activities


 Your profile

  • M.Sc. in Data Science or similar with minimum of 6 years’ work experience
  • Highly experienced in programming/scripting tools for data analysis and prototyping software features (e.g. Python, Jupiter Notebook)
  • Experience in applying data science on machinery data in an industry domain.
  • Strong analytical approach to problem solving 
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to manage projects on a timeline and concisely communicate results
  • Self-driven and highly motivated individual
  • Fluent in English language. Norwegian language skills will be considered as a plus
