Regional Sales Executive, Smart Sensors

To strengthen our Voyage Solutions team within Wärtsilä Marine we are looking for an engaged Regional Sales Executive.

 

Who are we?

Wärtsilä Voyage Solutions is a leading systems partner to the marine industry and a key component of Wärtsilä's Smart Marine vision.

 

We provide automation, navigation and communication systems, dynamic positioning and situational awareness technology, safety and security solutions, entertainment systems, as well as sonar and sensor technology for vessels of all types and sizes. We offer electronic charts, professional training and simulation services, ship traffic control, as well as monitoring, and decision-support tools. We can also now leverage the latest advances in machine learning to create a unified cloud-based platform for managing operations across the entire marine ecosystem.

Who are you?

As a Sales Executive you will be accountable for sales of Position Reference Sensors (PRS), Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems and additional products from Wartsila’s Voyage Solutions business line. The market is primarily in Norway to Norwegian customers, but the scope is international.

 

The role includes the assembly of tender responses, quotes and organizing other contractual documentation. Our preferred candidate has therefore a practical hands-on approach with good interpersonal skills and the capability of building strong relationships within the regional offshore and maritime industry.

 

You will be a part of a global sales team. The role is international and will involve extensive and frequent travel throughout the world.

 

Our candidate is a proactive self-starter with the enthusiasm, energy, and drive to get known within the sector and actively develop and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities from inception to close. You have a willingness to engage proactively with customers and build strong respectful relationships.

 

As a part of an international team you might be prepared to support your colleagues with other opportunities. You have good command of English, both oral and written.

 

Preferred place of work (location): Bergen, Norway
