Sales Manager  – Wärtsilä Biogas Solutions

Biogas is a circular green energy solution that is gaining more and more attraction as Europe is shifting from a fossil to a green energy system.

Wärtsilä Biogas Solutions is an established actor that provide first class installations for biogas upgrading & liquefaction.

To meet the market growth we are would like to strengthen our sales team with energetic and structured Sales Managers throughout Europe.

The successful candidate’s main tasks are:

•    Develop the European market for biogas upgrading and liquefaction through sales and marketing related activities towards existing and new customers and other stakeholders.
•    Identify new business opportunities and develop these to sales projects including issue budget and sharp offers as well as leading client negotiations to a signed agreement.
•    Build an even stronger relationship to existing customers
•    Build a network of contacts promoting Wärtsilä solutions to key stake holder in the market e.g. consultants, project developers, branch associations etc.
•    Keep track of market developments including competition. Consolidate and feedback such information to relevant stakeholders within Wärtsilä.


Competences required for the position:

•    Engineering degree in chemical and/or mechanical engineering or acquired similar competence through relevant practical experience within the biogas sector.
•    Driving license, fluent in local language and good English language. 
•    Experience from the biogas sector are considered added advantages.

Characteristics we would like to see from the successful candidate:

•    Energetic, strong desire to realize business that contribute to the conversion from fossil to green energy.
•    Customer focused, wanting to meet and engage with customers and key stakeholders and understand their needs and being able to formulate actions to meet such needs.
•    Take actions and take responsibility for his/her actions.
•    Self-motivated and being a team player.
•    Ability to travel frequently within county and occasionally abroad.

Wärtsilä offer competitive compensation including company car. The Sales Manager is part of a Team of Sales Manager acting throughout North-West Europe.

Base for the Sales Manager is either a home office or at a Wärtsilä office in country defined.

The position report to the Global Sales Manager for Wärtsilä Biogas Solutions (currently based in Sweden).
