Spare Parts Manager

 

Gas Solutions, a Wärtsilä Business, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Spare Parts Manager to grow and develop one of our company's most important departments.

The customer experience related to spare parts sets the stage for further service business and repeat business for new projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the global spares business for all our product segments and lead a highly competent and international

team across 5 locations. We have a truly global customer base situated on all continents.

 

This position can be based in Moss, Asker, Kalmar, and Gdynia

Role Overview:

As our Spare Parts Manager, you'll be responsible for growing our spare parts business by empowering our highly qualified teams and driving cooperation with stakeholders inside and outside the company.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring the availability of spare parts to support our business operations and meet customer demands efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop a robust and customer-oriented business culture across the team.
  • Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their optimal leadership performance and professional growth, with the assistance of your team leaders.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.
  • Use business analytics to identify and develop growth areas across our product lines.
  • Understand our market segments through cooperation with the sales team, market analyst, technical support and field service, and staying in touch with key customers.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to workflows, automation and information management, involving employees to ensure a strong foundation of any changes required.
  • Network broadly with internal stakeholders to manage expectations, drive cooperation, and improve information management processes that eventually can lead to increased business.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 + years of experience in industrial spare parts management or similar roles.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively while simultaneously moving strategic projects forward.
  • Product knowledge is considered and advantage.
