Main Responsibilities:

1. Support the Energy Business by providing solutions-oriented and proactive legal advice and assistance on all matters concerning sales and life-cycle solutions.
2. Support and advise the Business on negotiating commercial contracts including highlighting and reviewing commercial and operational risks in projects.
3. Manage and liaise with external counsel with a focus on controlling external legal spend.
4. Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts and agreements.
5. Attend WAU management meetings when required and provide advice on legal issues to the Business and keep them informed of any relevant changes.
6. Provide training to the business on relevant legal and compliance issues
7. Actively participate in the implementation and development of Wartsila policies and way of working.

Education:

Australian qualified (desirable but not mandatory)

Qualified lawyer in common law or civil law jurisdiction.

 

 

Experience:

Professional

Minimum 5 years PQE experience in an in-house role with an MNC or international law firm.
