Senior Service Technician

SENIOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN

 

We are now looking for a  looking for a SENIOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN to join our team. This role is offered on a permanent basis and it is based at our site in Baku, Azerbaijan.

 

What will you be doing

 

As Senior Services Technician you will provides Field Service activities on own reference product and have a senior role in your specialization. The major strength of the position is troubleshooting and maintenance services on the site or the workshop.

  

As a Senior Services Technician you will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Perform from basic supporting tasks (like; cleaning, lifting, moving and protecting components) till monitoring and completing the work tasks
  • Doing all major maintenance of all Wartsila Machines
  • Give on side technical advice and support for the customers
  • Cooperate together with the outsource business partners within the same maintenance project.
  • Complete the maintenance / troubleshooting session(s) according to the Wartsila quality and customer services requirements
  • Record the measurement data on the relevant document(s).
  • Ensure that the work is executed according to Wartsila Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.
  • Give technical advice for customers and Wärtsilä network.
  • Have a backup function for supervising small tasks of the team leader
  • Is flexible in their specialisation and can solve the ad hock or unplanned situations
  • Give technical advice for customers and Wärtsilä network.
  • Provide internal and external reports when needed
  • Contact the needed portals when there is a services sales opportunity during a maintenance job
  • Using Wartsila digital tools (We learn, CRM, SWR, FSM, WeCare, WAMS).

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Technical High school degree or equal
  • 3+ years expertise as Service Technician
  • Availability to work on Ship installations
  • Experience on Wartsila Engines O/H (200,22,26 ,32,34sg,50sg)
  • Product knowledge & knowledge of installation operation, maintenance & repair
  • Negotiation, reporting & documentation skills
  • Strong (technical) communication skills
  • Ability to travel at short notice
  • Cost awareness & effectiveness
  • Team work skills
  • English skills (Level: intermediate)
