3D Technical artist

We are intensively looking for pro-active Senior Software Development Engineer to join Navigational Simulator team. The candidate will work on market lead product Navi-Trainer Professional that actively in use for seafarers’ education in thousands maritime academies around the globe. The reason of hiring is active business and development team grow.

 

You will work in Scrum team on complex distributed system with tasks in many different domains from visual system to hardware integrations. The team believes in incremental delivery and work in close collaboration with customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve & organize the pipeline for the navigational simulator visualization in Unreal Engine
  • Prototyping model & level design in Unreal Engine
  • Understanding the design requirements for the visual aspects of the simulations and translating the visualization ideas into the scene with related components - including mesh quality optimizations, materials, scene & level design.
  • Collaborating with a global team, focusing on the lead technical artist role within Unreal Engine, and managing asset workflows.
  • Working closely with the C++ developers on the team
  • Staying updated on the latest technologies and trends in real-time 3D visualizations.
  • Guiding third-party 3D modelers on best practices when using Unreal Engine.
  • Support the internal product for the prototype/scene creation.
  • Working as a member of the product team with the backlog, production & support

 

Required qualifications:

  • Experience with real-time visualization techniques & game engine
  • Experience with ray-traced scene properties and optimizations in Unreal Engine.
  • Proficiency with at least one 3D modelling tool (3DsMAX, Blender, Zbrush, etc.) and one 2D graphics tool (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Proficiency with advanced Niagara particle systems and scripting.
  • Experience in asset workflows, materials development, lighting development, animations, and basic VFX in Unreal Engine.
  • Advanced understanding of Blueprint scripting in Unreal Engine
  • Experience with the mapping software & understanding of the modern digital map technologies
