System Design Engineer

We are now looking for a Systems Design Engineer to join our forward-looking team.

Systems Design Engineer will take care of the design and installation of navigation software and hardware for our products in Ship Traffic Control and Simulation training solutions.


This is a permanent role. You will be based in Belgrade (Serbia) with our R&D teams.

This role will require nearly 40-50% of time in business trips around the world. When you are in Belgrade, we suggest hybrid working mode.


What you will be doing:

Design documentation:

  • Technical analysis of tender requirements
  • Interaction with client
  • Selection of third-party equipment and subsystems
  • Development of the equipment and software supply (including details of manufacturer, model, P/N, licenses, etc.).
  • Calculation of the technical characteristics of elements and subsystems (radars, radio communications, direction finders, CCTV, weather stations, telecommunications, power supply).
  • Development of technical description of the system
  • Development of schematic diagrams
  • Site design - development of drawings of equipment placement on the site (sketches of the equipment room etc.)


System installation and commissioning:

  • Preparation of technical specifications for subcontractors
  • Assembling and configuring the system at the stand, factory tests; acceptance of equipment at supplier companies
  • Supervision of construction and installation work performed by subcontractors.
  • Operator and customer engineer training.


To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Higher technical education
  • Proficiency in MS Office and graphics packages (AutoCAD, MS Visio or similar)
  • Ability to read/draw blueprints and electrical schematics, design documentation
  • Experience in repairing radio electronic equipment, confident knowledge of measuring instruments (VSW meter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer etc.)
  • Must have basic knowledge of electrical engineering, radio communications, computer technology, building telecommunications networks and LAN administration; basic knowledge of radar technology is desirable
  • Ability and willingness to work on business trips around the world up to 50% of the time.
