Software Developer Engineer (C++, ShipMotion)

The team of Wärtsilä marine engineering simulator is looking for a C++ developer. You can become part of a team that works on a market-leading product (45% market share) that simulates marine engineering functionality for vessels.

Location: Helsinki, Finland or Belgrade, Serbia (Permanent)

Main responsibilities:

· Develop and support math model of vessel motion

· Develop and support CI/CD processes

· Compile technical documentation for the model and its effects

To be successful in this position, we expect you to:

· Have a BS or MS in physics, applied math, engineering, or a similar field

· Have 3-5 years or more of experience in software development

· Possess strong problem-solving skills

· Have knowledge of mechanics (kinematics and dynamics of rigid bodies, rotational dynamics equations; mechanical energy parameters and equations, inertia characteristics)

· Be proficient in C++ architecture, programming, and optimization skills

· Have knowledge of algorithms and data structures

· Have experience with development in Windows

· Have intermediate or higher proficiency in English

It would be great if you have:

· Knowledge of COM/ATL

· Knowledge of C#

· Knowledge of computational mathematics
