Software Developer Engineer (Front-end, NavSim)

We are looking for a Front-End Developer to join our team and work on the client for data monitoring in navigational simulation software. 


The location for the position is in Belgrade,Serbia. 

 

What you will be doing 

 

In this role, you will develop complex interfaces, integrate mapping services, and work with data visualization. You'll work on a product that trains 40% of the world’s bridge officers, enhancing maritime safety and training. As part of an innovative team, you'll shape maritime simulation and engage with real users to make a tangible impact.

 

As Software Developer Engineer your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

 

  • Develop and maintain a web application using React + TypeScript
  • Work with Canvas/WebGL for data visualization
  • Integrate mapping services (Mapbox, Leaflet)
  • Develop Web Components
  • Use MobX for state management
  • Conduct code reviews, write tests, and participate in technical discussions
  • Collaborate with backend developers and contribute to API design

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

 

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development with React + TypeScript
  • Strong understanding of ES6+ and modern JavaScript standards
  • Experience with MobX
  • Experience working with Canvas and 2D graphics
  • Understanding of Web Components
  • Experience with Mapbox, Leaflet
  • Proficiency with Git (GitHub Actions as well)
  • Experience with SCRUM (Agile) development processes

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Experience with Thrift
  • Knowledge of Node.js
  • Experience with D3.js, PixiJS, WebGL
  • Experience with SASS/LESS and knowledge of BEM
  • Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
