Software Development Engineer

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to work in our team.

 

We are aiming towards a cleaner, smarter maritime future, and looking for top talents.

Wärtsilä Voyage Belgrade as a part of Wartsila Marine is a high-tech, modern development centre, which has dozens of unique specialists.

 

We create integrated technological solutions to improve the safety and efficiency of shipping, navigation, and ship operations:

  • fleet monitoring and management
  • vessel traffic control systems
  • marine training systems
  • on-board navigation equipment

 

The company actively uses flexible development methodologies, a developed technological culture allows creating unique technical solutions.

Company-wide communications are in English. We strive to use only English for written technical communication.

 

This is a permanent role, the location is in Belgrade, Serbia.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Develop of components and tools for marine engineering simulator
  • Team development
  • Development in C++ 11/14, C#
  • Code review
  • Development under Windows
  • Support legacy code

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ work experience in a relevant or related field
  • Good knowledge of C++, C#
  • Knowledge of the basics of algorithms and structures
  • Communicability
  • Experience with git
  • English at intermediate level or higher
