Technical Support Engineer

Wärtsilä Voyage Belgrade as a part of Wartsila Voyage is a high-tech, modern development center, which has dozens of unique specialists. The company actively uses flexible development methodologies, a developed technological culture allows creating unique technical solutions.
We create integrated technological solutions to improve the safety and efficiency of shipping, navigation, and ship operations:

  • fleet monitoring and management
  • vessel traffic control systems
  • marine training systems
  • on-board navigation equipment
  • mobile navigation apps

 

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our forward-looking team. This is a permanent role. The person will be based in Belgrade (Serbia).

 

What you will be doing:

  • Information and technical support for users of the company's products
  • Receiving and processing enquiries by email and telephone
  • Generation of reports on frequently asked questions on the system or its components
  • Registration of solutions in the unified knowledge base
  • Keeping records of support requests
  • Preparing analytical reports on the implementation of user requests.

 

To be successeful in this role you will need:

  • Higher or incomplete higher education (IT or maritime background will be your advantage but not mandatory)
  • Experience in dhcp, dns, vpn at runtime level is desirable
  • Skills in using remote user support tools (vnc, TeamViewer)
  • Understanding of software logic
  • English level upper-intermediate to work with international clients and with international team
  • Customer service experience (experience with ticketing systems, CRM, JiraPM is desirable)
  • Autonomy and team spirit.
