Electrical Plant Technician.
Job Purpose
Performs technical tasks and maintenance on electrical systems at plant plants, ensuring operationality and reliability.
Education:
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or a related technical field.
- Additional training in industrial maintenance, automation, or power systems is an asset.
- Electrical safety certifications.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in manufacturing, processing plants, or similar industrial environments.
Demonstrated experience in:
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation.Working with low and medium voltage systems.
- Previous experience in similar environments is highly desirable.
Key Accountabilities
- Provides specialized electrical service in customer's place of business to ensure optimal work of customer plant, executing maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical parts/products/solutions/equipment in accordance with safety standards and operational guidelines.
- Maintains and operates the plant according to company policies, procedures, and operation profile/plan.
- Conducts routine inspections and maintenance on electical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. Carries out inspections of all electrical equipment and take corrective actions when needed. Ensures that the working area, machines, auxiliary equipment and tools are kept in good and clean condition.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots electrical malfunctions, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Maintains accurate records of electrical work performed, parts used, and time spent, contributing to the overall management of plant operations. Creates work reports according to guidelines.
- Collaborates with other technicians and teams to support cross- functional maintenance activities and projects.
- Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions on maintenance processes. Continuously updates personal knowledge of electrical systems and practices to enhance on-the-job performance and safety.
- Complies with all safety regulations and perform emergency procedures in order to protect personnel and equipment in case of damage or failure of safety devices.
