We are looking for a Shift supervisor that coordinates and supervises the shift operations, ensuring operational performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Accountabilities

1.  Supervises shift operations, coordinating, instructing and scheduling work of operators and coordinating tasks and resources to meet production targets and deadlines. 
2. Leads operational shift teams and provides training, guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and safe work environment. Directs all personnel actions. Ensures that all team members receive required instructions in safety procedures, proper use of equipment, performance standards, disciplinary processes, and other workplace and company policies, procedures and practices. 
3. Monitors operational performance and implements improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. 
4. Oversees and ensures all work is completed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and company guidelines, processes and policies. 
5. Manages the availability of tools, parts, and resources required for maintenance and operational tasks.
6. Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities, resolve issues and continuously improve processes.

Knowledge and Experience: Possesses comprehensive operational knowledge and applies it to effectively coordinate shift activities. 

Innovation and Change: Identifies and implements improvements to shift processes, contributing to operational efficiency. 

Teamwork and Leadership: Leads a team, coordinating activities and providing direction and support to ensure successful completion of shift tasks. 

Communication and Networking: Communicates with a range of internal and external contacts to facilitate the smooth execution of shift duties.

Physical Requirements 

• Climbing stairs, ladders, ramps and accessing scaffolding 
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and carry 25 pounds 
• Bending body downward and forward, kneeling, climbing and walking

Education:
• Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or a related technical field.
• Additional training in industrial maintenance, automation, or power systems is an asset.

Experience:
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in industrial, mechanical and electrical maintenance, preferably in power plant, or similar industrial environments
