Wärtsilä Global Operative Control Centre (GOCC)  is now looking for a new Controller to join our team of controlling professionals. GOCC is a virtual organisation whose primary responsibility is operative controlling across all revenue streams and product lines within Wärtsilä.

We are now looking for a GOCC Controller to support the Field Service Functional Area, the location can be Spain, Finland, or Italy.

Our GOCC team has professionals from different locations all over the world. In this position you would support the Field Service revenue streams focusing in European network companies.

In GOCC you get to be part of Wärtsilä’s controlling community. As a GOCC member you’ll have the opportunity to participate in improving controlling processes, learn and deploy robotics and other modern controlling tools and build our GOCC community together with  colleagues globally.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Pro-actively supports and communicates with field service organisations, coordinators and other relevant stakeholders
  • Manages, monitors, and ensures the data quality in the field service functional area to ensure the correct financial reporting and following of Wärtsilä guidelines
  • Provides feedback to stakeholders on ways of working and processes and actively challenge convention where there could be a need to improve processes
  • Is responsible for the Operative controlling including period end closing activities for field service functional area in close cooperation with the local team and the wider organisation.
  • Acts as an expert within own area of expertise, trains others and actively seeks to improve processes and tools
  • Performs internal control steps relevant to the mentioned functional area
  • Support in Testing activities in SAP and other tools
  • Support during audit of the companies

 

Requirements

  • B.Sc or M.Sc. Degree, preferably in Finance and Accounting
  • Good financial knowledge, reporting and analysing skills such as Margin, WIP, Cost centre, Balance sheet analysis
  • Follow-up of given KPIs
  • Excellent SAP skills, especially in FICO CS and PS modules
  • Good skills in other reporting tools such as Qlikview, Power BI
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Field service processes and its drivers as well as business and system integration
  • Ability to work efficiently in virtual teams and be able to confidently communicate across teams, functions, and levels within the organisation
  • Be able to explain complex issues to all stakeholders
  • Development mind-set with pro-active can-do attitude who is not afraid to challenge
  • Excellent skills in English
  • Knowledge and experience in other revenue streams is seen as a clear advantage.
