R&D Electro-Mechanic Operator
We are now looking for a
R&D Electro-Mechanic Operator
to join our team working for a better future.
The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Bermeo, Spain.
What you will be doing
The Electro-Mechanic Operator will be part of a dedicated team responsible for operating test engines and performing mechanical work as needed. This role requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to start and operate engines independently, following instructions provided by Test Engineers. In addition to engine operation, the technician will carry out mechanical tasks such as troubleshooting, preparing engines for tests, and executing major modifications involving component and system changes.
As R&D Electro-Mechanic Operator, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Start and operate test engines during morning and evening shifts, ensuring readiness for scheduled tests.
- Follow Test Engineer instructions for engine operation and test procedures.
- Perform mechanical work on engines, including:
- Repairs and adjustments due to faults or operational issues.
- Preparations required for upcoming test campaigns.
- Major modifications involving component and system changes for configuration updates.
- Ensure engines are heated up and stabilized before test engineers arrive.
- Monitor engine performance during operation and report any anomalies immediately.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols at all times.
- Ensure engines are heated, started and stabilized before testing begins.
- Execute mechanical tasks and modifications to maintain engine readiness and adapt configurations.
- Support efficient and uninterrupted test execution by operating engines and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain safe and compliant operations throughout all activities.
- Contribute to a high-performance testing environment through reliability and teamwork.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
Technical Skills
- Solid mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with engines or other complex mechanical systems.
- Ability to operate engines independently during assigned shifts.
- Competence in performing mechanical repairs, adjustments, and component replacements.
- Understanding of engine monitoring systems and technical troubleshooting.
- Competence in reading and interpreting technical documentation, including assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and control logic.

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
