We are looking for a Senior Service Engineer Mechanical to join our Field Service team in Spain, leading and executing complex service activities on 4-stroke marine engines and propulsion systems. In this role, you will act as the key technical expert on-site, guiding the work, supporting the team, and ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Service Engineer Mechanical, you will:

Lead and supervise field service operations for mechanical works on 4-stroke engines and propulsion systems
Perform and oversee advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities at customer sites
Take ownership of major overhauls, including disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of critical components
Execute and lead commissioning and start-up activities for new installations
Provide technical guidance and leadership to field service teams and subcontractors on-site
Act as the main technical interface with customers, ensuring clear communication and high service standards
Work across Diesel, Gas, and Dual Fuel 4-stroke engines
Troubleshoot and maintain propulsion systems (CPP, Thrusters, Waterjets)
Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures
Travel extensively (up to 80%) to support global field service activities
Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and recommendations for continuous improvement

Requirements for the position

Extensive hands-on experience with 4-stroke engines (Diesel, Gas, Dual Fuel), ideally in marine environments
Proven track record in leading overhauls, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities
Demonstrated ability to lead teams on-site and manage complex service projects independently
Strong expertise in marine propulsion systems (CPP, thrusters, waterjets)
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
Solid customer-facing experience, with the ability to build trust and manage expectations
High level of ownership, accountability, and safety awareness
Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Willingness and flexibility to travel globally (approx. 80%)
Ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional environments
