Automation and Control Specialist

The Automation and Control Specialist will act as an Expert in E&A services proactively to advise and promote technical automation services with innovative solutions, ensuring compliance with customer (internal or external) requirements and goals set by the company. Moreover, the professional will perform advanced troubleshooting on equipment families according to customer's need or requirements as well as Wartsila quality, health, safety and environmental, creating and delivering reports based on findings.




  • Proactive daily support for contractual customers, leading or providing support for troubleshooting, identify failures, adjustments, trial runs and testing needs, contacting other Contract Centers or Technical Service to provide proper feedback and achieve a satisfied customer with profitable operation of the Wärtsilä equipment;
  • Interact with customers during the work execution (e.g. conducting meeting);
  • Providing assistance and advice to colleges in case of E&A related issues and provide feedback to maintenance team to improve maintenance plan;
  • Create and deliver reports based on findings;
  • Participate in the development of efficient operations management, and provide feedback for new tools implementation.


What it takes:


  • Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English. Portuguese desirable;
  • MSc or BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
