Manager Operational Excellence & Quality (m/f/d)

 

        permanent employment - full time

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for Quality, Environmental, occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
  • Accountable for Operational Excellence & Innovation Program and related activity portfolio
  • Innovate & Implement processes, systems, tools and related quality aspects
  • Drive the quality and safety culture to become an integral part of the performance culture
  • Responsible for operative QA/QC procedures activities
  • Actively contributing to product innovation campaigns
  • Selecting, Organising and leading external service providers for product qualification
  • Qualification and development of partners in cooperation with other relevant departments
  • Consulting process owners and product responsibles especially in Engineering, Supply Chain and Production
  • Coordination of QEHS-related activities in cooperation with the local company management and the Wärtsilä QEHS-organisation
  • Preparation and execution of presentations and training courses
  • Reporting to the Managing Director, Member of the Company Management Team

 

Requirements:

  • Fluent German and English communication skills 
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in QEHS-Position or in a Production/Engineering Management function
  • Sound knowledge and track record in Operational Excellence activities and Lean
  • Proven experience and capability in leading customer oriented QEHS-activities
  • Very Good knowledge of quality management System ISO 9001 and QA/QC methods
  • Knowledge of related Management Systems (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001,…) is advantageous
  • Knowledge about Health & Safety Systems and relevant European and German regulations is a plus
  • Familiar with the use of QEHS-tools and reports
  • Ideally first experience as an auditor
  • Analytic/ systematic working approach and structured thinking
  • Good command in problem analysis & solving applying state of the art methods and tools
  • Sound knowledge of project management.
  • Proven communication skills and people orientation
  • Proven good leadership and management skills
  • Very good technical understanding, good logical and cooperation skills

 

Education: The ideal candidate has a professional education as Master of Science in Technology (ideally with Production Technology and Quality as study subject) or equivalent work experience in an operations-management or QEHS-function.  A certification as Auditor is a plus.
