We are now looking for a Service Engineer E&A responsible for executing and managing electrical and automation maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on Wärtsilä energy systems and related equipment for a more sustainable future.
The location for this position is in Budaörs, Hungary.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Service Engineer E&A, your work will focus on those responsibilities:
- Execute planned and corrective maintenance on electrical and automation systems of Wärtsilä energy solutions.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and automation issues, providing effective solutions to restore system functionality.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams regarding electrical and automation systems.
- Assist in the commissioning and start-up of new installations, ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Wärtsilä's quality standards, safety protocols, and ISO procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Fulfil tasks and assignments as directed by the Field Service Team Leader and work closely with the other team members to coordinate service activities and share technical knowledge.
Requirements for the position
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in electrical and automation maintenance, preferably in the energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation controls, and related technologies.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
- Fluent in English and Hungarian, both written and verbal.
As an ideal candidate you might also have…
- Experience with Wärtsilä energy systems and products is beneficial.
- Certification in relevant electrical and automation standards.
- Familiarity with ISO procedures and quality management systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
