(Senior) Instructor, Training Centre

We are looking for (Senior) Instructor, Training Centre in Korea. This is a permanent opportunity and its location is Busan, Korea.

What will you be doing:
As (Senior) Instructor, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Actively takes part in the day to day training activities/delivery
  • Performs and coordinates immediate activities to meet objectives
  • Develops / Administers / Implements and maintain technical training area/equipment and assessments
  • Being responsible for execution of standard training activities for customers and own personnel to meet customers' expectations and according to budgeted/margin targets
  • Executes training centre trainings without backup
  • Has convincing and initiative attitude, explains technical issues in educative and supporting way
  • Delivers the training in a keen way and under consideration of total safety and environmental impact aspects
  • Provides technical support for internal and external customers
  • Participates in projects in which technical knowledge and experience is of importance.
  • Performs tasks designated by superior

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • BSc or MSc in Engineering or Marine Engineer in similar area 
  • Good interpersonal communication skills 
  • Quality, safety and environmental skills 
  • Desire to work in multicultural environment 
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written, other languages are a merit
  • Excellent command of Korean, written and verbal
  • Advanced knowledge and operation experience of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines
  • Ship or similar industry experience more than 3-year
  • Result- and development-oriented way of working.


If you have the followng experiences, it would be a plus.

  • Wartsila RT-flex engine operation experience 
  • ​​​​​​​W20DF/W34DF/W50DF work experience
  • Sox Scrubber operation experience 
  • Experience in training delivery is a benefit, however, we will train you on the job
