Job Description:
Wärtsilä is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will manage assigned maintenance responsibilities in accordance with Wärtsilä Services guidelines, the Project & Contract Management process, and general management practices in a safe and cost-effective manner to exceed customer expectations. This role involves implementing preventive and corrective actions as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned maintenance responsibilities in a safe and cost-effective way to exceed customer expectations.
- Responsible for all activities related to the daily maintenance management of the power plant, including planning and implementation of plant maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with the plant team regarding the condition of plant equipment and performance, and provide suggestions for improvements.
- Administer and train skilled and motivated maintenance personnel to ensure good teamwork. Set and maintain qualification and training standards for plant maintenance personnel.
- Implement plant maintenance safety policies and related HSE programs according to the assigned plan.
- Establish and implement standard maintenance policies and procedures in accordance with the Project & Contract Management process.
- Prepare reports, plans, and budgets as instructed by the Contract Manager.
- Identify and actively seek to improve maintenance reliability and availability.
- Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are reached according to the contract.
- Ensure that work is executed at the plant according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
- Implement Contract Management action plans, processes, and guidelines in the assigned responsibility area.
- Implement effective planning, purchasing, and stocking of adequate inventory of spare parts, consumables, and chemicals at the site to ensure on-time implementation of powerhouse equipment maintenance.
- Maintain good internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in the power plant industry.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage skilled personnel.
- Strong understanding of HSE policies and procedures.
- Ability to prepare reports, plans, and budgets.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving maintenance reliability and availability.
- Preferably a Mechanical Engineer with a Professional License (PME)
- At least with 10 years experience in the maintenance of a power plant (preferably Wartsila Engines)
- Well-experienced, open-minded, with strong leadership skills.
