Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for the implementation of O&M Agreement & Operating procedures related to plant operation.
- Responsible for plant performance indices.
- Responsible for Breakdown due to operator negligence.
- Responsible for achieving performance guarantees related to operations and as agreed according to O&M Agreement.
- Development of competent operations resources by following Professional Skills Management program.
- Annual operation plan and operations related costs optimization.
- Plant operations reporting to customer in timely manner according to O&M agreement.
- Manage assigned operational responsibilities in accordance with Agreement Management processes and procedures and general management practices in a safe and cost-effective way in order to exceed the customer expectations.
- Responsible for all activities relating to the daily operations management of the power plant.
- Communicate effectively with the plant team related to the condition of the plant equipment, maintenance requirement and performance.
- Responsible for preparing plant for conducting 3rd parties surveys assigned by customer w.r.t. operation including closing of open issues in close liaison with customer.
- Responsible for implementation of plant safety policy and QEHS procedures according to the assigned plan.
- Prepare custom reports, plans and budgets as instructed by the Agreement Manager.
- Identify and actively seek to improve operational reliability and availability.
- Approve the planning of maintenance program in line with the operational requirements.
- Timely initiate requirement of purchase material related to operations.
- Perform all activities needed to reach the objectives of the position and comply with the orders, instructions, values, and company policies applicable as employee and/or the position.
- Continuously seek for solutions keeping a customer focus mindset.
Requirements:
- B.E Degree or HND (Higher National Diploma) in Mechanical/Electrical with Power Plant Operations experience.
- Minimum 10 years of plant operation experience with minimum 3 years in Managerial role.
- Experience requirement in Engine based GAS power plant and its auxiliaries is a must.
- An Advanced level of English language. (Written and spoken)
- Understanding of Wärtsilä business, quality, and workplace safety is a plus.
