We are looking for a dynamic high performer to join our fast paced and exciting Team. We are seeking Technical Advisors who will be assigned to attend to our customer’s installation (a power plant) for complex equipment troubleshooting and repairs. This is a fly-in-fly out position, with 2 week on, two week off rotation.

WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU ARE GOOD AT
You will be part of a highly skilled and motivated team of Services professionals who are able to independently work and take decisions under pressure in combination with analytical/critical thinking and excellent Mechanical knowledge about Wartsila’s 4 Stroke engines.

            Main responsibilities Required   

 

•      Monitor, analyse and support daily the installation equipment performance to optimize the equipment performance and efficiency. Ensure that the corrective and predictive actions are planned and executed out on the installations.

•      Proactively seek and report for performance improvement possibilities. Ensure operational and technical improvements are proposed to maintenance planners for predictive maintenance planning and to external stakeholders.

•      Conduct installation and customer visit to ensure installation performance (troubleshooting), operations management training and technical audits.

•           Perform troubleshooting (running tests, fine tuning, adjustments, trimming)

•           Ensure that the work is executed according to both Seller's and Customer's quality, health, safety, environmental procedures

•           Perform routine maintenance as needed, in accordance with the maintenance manual

•           Be available for daily checks and ensure that the equipment is kept in good condition

•           Interact with the Customer during work execution

•           Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work

•           Create daily work reports

•           Assist the Customer in ensuring that the equipment reaches the equipment performance parameters

•           Support and train the Customer's personnel in operation and maintenance of the equipment

•           Be the main interface to Seller's technical expertise in an event of troubleshooting

•           Receive any service bulletins, updates to maintenance manuals and discuss with Customer

•           Identify obsolescence and upgrade opportunities

•           Be available to assist in emergency repairs and unscheduled maintenance

•           Assist in resolving warranty claims, as applicable

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Desired Skills:

-English, French language is a plus

-MS Office tools
-IM applications and IM tools

-Ability to follow directions
-Ability to deal with people of different nationality.

-Able to generate technical service reports

 

Education:

BS degree + 2 year of related experience, or AS degree and 3 years of experience, or High School Diploma /Technical / Vocational school (preferably Marine, Mechanical or USCG) + 5 years of experience

 

Experience:

- Mechanical maintenance expertise in Wartsila 4-stroke engines

-Mechanical technical experience on Wartsila Power Plants or similar application
-Lead man experience
-Strong knowledge of auxiliaries equipment
-Gas engine Knowledge
-Electrical troubleshooting Skills
