Accountant (Trainee)

We are looking for a Part Time Accountant to join our dynamic Finance & Control Team for 6 months (Fixed Term Contract).

As an Accountant, you will focus on these responsibilities:

• Ensure correctness of local company's financial situation, including for example Profit & Loss Statement, Balance sheets and Fixed Assets.
• Accounting and closing activities on company level in SAP and HFM, participating in development and optimizing related processes, and supporting the businesses in financial processes.
• Preparation, analysis and support of the payment team for payments in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay, both domestically and abroad.
• Collecting and preparing financial information, reports and analyses to internal and external stakeholders and authorities, e.g. tax related reporting (direct, indirect, transfer pricing).
• Contributing in external auditing, internal auditing and internal control reporting of the company.
• Supporting and participating in development of Wartsila FICO Team in cooperation with area organization and in projects which require financial competence and support.
   

What it takes:

• Demonstrate Wärtsilä Purpose and demonstrate Wärtsilä values.
• Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of accounting concepts/ GAAP/ IFRS.
• Knowledge of tax and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of cost accounting concepts.
• Knowledge of ad hoc reporting.
• Knowledge of financial analysis.
   

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Fluent in English (must).
• Time management.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to multitask.
• ERP systems and file hierarchy concepts, preferably SAP.
• Meeting deadlines.
• Critical Thinking / Analytical reasoning.
• Being a self-starter / self-managed.
