Senior Commissioning Engineer, Mechanical

We're looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer   to lead power plant mechanical installations, commissioning, and testing activities based out of Navi Mumbai, Chennai, or Noida with travel to domestic and international project sites.

 

Requirements

 

The Role:

  • Perform commissioning, performance tests and handing over activities.
  • Plan, manage and lead mechanical installation and commissioning activities at site.
  • Lead mechanical team at site.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Perform start-up and tests of equipment within the scope of the contract.
  • Follow commissioning plan.
  • Follow commissioning and performance tests procedures.
  • Ensure that all test results are documented according to Wärtsilä instructions.
  • Safeguard the compliance with EHS policies and minimize risks during commissioning.
  • Ensure that safe commissioning practices are followed.
  • Resolve and record technical problems during the commissioning.
  • Participate the site commissioning meetings.
  • Ensure that safe and calibrated test equipment are used.
  • Maintain good reporting practices.
  • Guide operation personnel with plant design and functionalities.
  • Assist the client with commissioning procedures and testing.
  • Ensure safe and reliable function of the plant and equipment.
  • Ensure that as-built drawings are completed and communicated.
  • Maintain punch list.
  • Ensure that all required documents are submitted and signed by the client for taking over of the plant.
  • Plan and follow-up progress of mechanical works at site.
  • Proactively manage the scope of work, material flow and secure needed resources.
  • Manage and guide subcontractors.
  • Plan and coordinate Last Planner System (LPS) activities with the subcontractors and monitor the progress accordingly.
  • Follow and give input to project time schedule.
  • Maintain good customer relations and team spirit at site.
  • Highlight the economical constructing and cost saving working procedures.
  • Manage and maintain good reporting practices.
  • Ensure that mechanical as-built drawings are completed and communicated.
  • Safeguard the compliance with HSSE policies and minimize risks in mechanical installations and commissioning.
  • Ensure that design and installation instructions are followed.
  • Arrange inspection of received material and goods at site.
  • Review invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain records of change orders and claims.
  • Ensure the quality control at site.
  • Advise and support the client in planning, organizing and execution of tests.

 

Education: Diploma or bachelor's in Mechincal or equivalent

 

Experience: 7-10 yrs of Experience

Location : Navi Mumbai (Seawoods)/ Chennai/ Noida
