Application Engineer

Wärtsilä is now in process of implementing global Wärtsilä Product Data Management (PDM) service. Wärtsilä PDM will consist of the Siemens Teamcenter application, a multi site environment in Europe and Asia.Wärtsilä Information Management (IM) is looking for IT professionals to help the PDM implementation Program, to support the Wärtsilä PDM users all over the world and to coordinate the PDM information, project management and support activities in Shanghai. We prefer enthusiastic candidates with a can-do attitude, experience in global business environment, PDM and CAD knowledge and interest towards Wärtsilä’s business. We can offer you a challenging PDM environment, opportunities to work together to build a common PDM solution and to learn and develop yourself in a modern and global IT department of a successful company.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Resolving of advanced and complex Teamcenter/NX application incidents, problems and errors in collaboration with Wärtsilä Helpdesk, users, key users, HP, Wärtsilä IM teams and PDM Program
  2. Providing Teamcenter/NX instructions & workarounds to users
  3. Monitoring & reporting Teamcenter application volumes, loads, usage and performance
  4. Teamcenter application patching
  5. Support for Teamcenter change management
  6. Updating the PDM Knowledge Base according to proven incident resolutions
  7. Transferring PDM knowledge to Helpdesk and Key Users globally

 

Qualifications:

 

  1. 5+ Years' experience in the Teamcenter Application or other PDM applications
  2. Experience from NX/Ideas or other CAD applications
  3. Customer service and troubleshooting skills and basic IT Project Managment skills
  4. Understanding of modern IT service support and delivery processes (ITIL)
  5. Workable spoken and written English.
