Project Services plays a key role in the overall Marine Power strategy, on the retrofit side supporting customers with obsolescence management, lifetime extensions, efficiency improvements as well as decarbonisations programs enabled by fuel flexibility and hybridisation. In the new-build side, Electrical and Power Management systems will be critical for Marine Power's ability to supply integrated systems to our customers in line with the Smart Marine strategy.


We are looking for a Project Engineer join our Engineering team to support our Power Conversion projects. This is a permanent opportunity and will be located in Shanghai, China.


As a Project Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:


  • Daily customer communication, both technical and commerically focused
  • Maintain effective internal communications with other Engineers within Europe
  • Attend commissioning work at shipyards when required
  • Provide technical support with regards to power conversaion slaes project by creating technical specifications, conducting effective negotiation with customers and obatin accurate component informtaiton from lcoal sub-supplier


To be successful in this role we expect you to have:


  • Knowledge of the frequency converter principle
  • Proven background in converter configuration and software application
  • Understanding of motore generator
  • Familiar with marien power managment systems
  • Commerical accumen
  • Good understanding of customer and its business 
  • Situational and cultural sensitivity 
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills 
  • Cost awareness & effectiveness


Desired skills include:


  • Masters or bachelor’s degree in electric and automation
  • Previous experience in frequency converter field is prefer
  • Fluency in English language
