Deputy Engineer, Workshop


We are now looking for a Deputy Engineer, Workshop to join our team at Gazipur – Bangladesh. The Successful candidate will report to the Manager, Workshop.


What will you be doing?

  • Assist in engine components and auxiliaries servicing and repair activity as per Wartsila guideline and procedures at site/WS
  • Assist and participate in execution of engine repairs and engine overhaul related jobs at WS or at site.
  • Assist or perform of engine components & auxiliary overhauling jobs within the sales scope.
  • Carryout planned and unplanned inhouse and customer side maintenance jobs as a team member.
  • Prepare and submit work done reports of assigned jobs as per Wartsila standards.
  • Ensure that the work is executed according to Wartsila quality, health, safety and environmental guidelines along with customer site procedures when applicable.
  • Promote Wartsila products and services.


You will shine in this role when you have

  • Diploma/ Bachelor’s in mechanical/Marine Engineering
  • Minimum of 03 - 05 years’ experience.
  • Willingness to travel frequently inside and outside the country.
  • Experience in maintenance of Wartsila engines is a plus
