Wärtsilä is seeking a Junior Operator Trainee, to join our West Africa Operational Organization based in Dakar, Senegal. 

What will you be doing:

As a Junior Operator Trainee , your daily duties include but are not limited to:

• Actively seek to improve operations and maintenance knowledge of plant equipment.
• Develop complete understanding of Engine and its auxiliary systems.
• Assist the Superior in plant operation routine activities.
• Monitor all parameters in close liaison with senior shift members.
• Gain knowledge of O&M Agreement plant related clauses.
• Support Operation Manager in daily reporting and various analysis.
• Observe the health and safety guidelines at all times

 You will shine in this role, when you have: 

• BSC Engineer (Electrical) from a reputed university with good academic record
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.
• Fluency in English.
• Good interpersonal & communication skills.
• High integrity and ownership.
• Target-oriented and self-motivated.
• Local resident of Dakar and surrounding areas
