Regional Sales Manager, Northern Europe

The primary responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager, Northern Europe is to achieve order intake by actively seeking new customers and developing a lasting relationship with existing clients through excellent service. Work with customers or potential customers in an assigned geographical area developing sales of all company solutions while respecting trade policy defined by the company.


Sales and Order Intake responsibility in assigned region


Accelerate growth of sales and define regional sales targets


Pro-actively managing the sales leads and opportunities and delivering the agreed targets


Contribution to achieving corporate targets through securing order intake, meeting gross margin targets and supporting the Voyage strategy


Deployment of sales tools, processes and way of working


Build, manage and foster customer relationships within assigned region


As part of a sales & sales support organization, contribute to creation of technical and commercial proposals including inquiries to sub-suppliers


Work closely with other regional sales teams and stakeholders


Provide market intelligence feedback through the assigned channels.


Represent Wärtsilä Voyage at industry exhibitions, conference, etc.



Skills and recruitments


  • 5+ years of relevant experience within equivalent job and/or business
  • Knowledge on Navigation & Automation Systems is a strong advantage
  • Fluent in one of the Nordic languages both written and spoken
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Sales oriented and entrepreneurial mind-set
  • Readiness to travel within assigned region
  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in the field of maritime electronics, ship operation engineering, nautics or similar is an advantage
