Assistant Engineer, O&M (Elec.)

Main responsibilities:

  • Carryout planned and unplanned electrical maintenance jobs as assigned and associated mechanical works.
  • Perform start-up, shut-down and normal operations of the EG sets, auxiliaries and other power plant systems / facilities
  • To monitor condition/supervision of genset.
  • To perform control room activities with good computer knowledge.
  • To co-ordinate with customer
  • To understand and interpret different parameter of gas engine power plant and act accordingly.
  • Maintain good relationship with team and customer.
  • Give feedback of all kinds of situation
  • Must stay in plant site, Chhatak Town, Sunamgonj.
  • Comply with all operations procedures, instructions and to discharge responsibilities in accordance with ISO standard for Quality, Environment, Health & Safety Management guidelines.
  • To work in rotating shift of gas power plant as electrical assistant engineer.
  • To operate & perform electrical maintenance of gas engine power plant.
  • Execution of generators related auxiliaries repair & overhauling jobs.
  • General electrical works experience
  • Knowledge of Instrumentation and PLC jobs
  • Understanding of technical drawings and flow charts
  • Reciprocating gas engine knowledge and understanding of mechanical function of gas engine.

You will shine in this role, when you have:

  • Education: Diploma or BSc in Electrical engineering.
  • Experience: If Diploma - 5 years of working experience and if BSc – 2 years of working experience on Gas or HFO based powerplant operations /maintenance.

  • Safety knowledge.
  • Good Engine control system knowledge.
  • Electrical System Knowledge.
  • Electrical trouble shooting.
  • Good communication skill.
  • General computer skills.
