Chief Project Engineer

We are now looking for a Chief Project Engineer to join our team. 

The preferred location for the position is in Diano d’Alba, Italy

 

What will you be doing  

 

In this position, your work will include prepare NAV-Com engineering drawings, performing field service activities according to the work plan including survey, project start-up, daily visit on board for any kind of failure and refit activity to be performed ship during drydock operation. 

 

You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independence, as you will have the support from our Navigation Field Service Technicians. 

 

For us to be the best match, we expect you to have a strong electrotechnical and Bridge equipment background. 

 

As Chief Project Engineer you will gain knowledge on the below system:  

 

  • Integrated Navigation System (Radar and Ecdis) - NACOS Platinum. 
  • VDR (mainly from Danelec). 
  • Navigation sensors, such as: GPS, Echosounders, SpeedLogs, AIS and Wheater. 
  • GYROs (mainly from Anschuetz). 
  • Steering system (mainly from Anschuetz). 

 

Requirements for the position 

 

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, such as mechanical, electrical, or marine, or a related field is recommended.
  • You are driven, open-minded, and self-motivated. 
  • You easily interact with people from all organizational levels, building bridges and creating connections, and you are accustomed to working in a global organization. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a must. 
  • Availability to travel within Italy and abroad is required.

  • The drive and the curiosity to explore the amazing world of Navigation bridge equipment.
  • You have strong analytical thinking capability and excellent communication skills in English both oral and written. 
  • Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, achieve results, decisiveness and action orientation. You are independent and show initiative with an entrepreneurial spirit. 
  • Customer oriented, enterprising, pragmatic, and enthusiastic.
