Project Engineer, Navy Navigation

We are now looking for a Project Engineer, Navy Navigation to join our team. The location for the position is in Drammen, Norway. 

 

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in engineering tasks such as documentation and software, as well as in equipment deliveries and services
  • Facilitate technical solutions, in close cooperation with the project team and product management
  • Participating in project design review and integration review
  • Coordination and facilitation of Factory Acceptance Test
  • Perform Naval vessel Navigation product commissioning, tests, and trials
  • Keep confidentiality especially related to Naval contracts
  • Active Participation in project meetings 

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

 

  • Fluent English (communicate effectively in writing and verbally), preferably fluent in a Scandinavian language (as some customers require these skills)
  • Bachelor of Science in a relevant specialisation, e.g. electrical, electronic, or software engineering, focusing on Marine Navigation systems
  • Solid understanding of the working principles of Navigational sensors, e.g. Radar, DGNSS, Echo sounder, etc.
  • Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, and organisational skills
  • Ability to travel overseas
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

As you will be involved in Navy related business, kindly be prepared that the government(s) may run a background check on you / NATO security certified.
