We are now looking for a Project Engineer, Navy Navigation to join our driven Navy Navigation team of ten, working for a better future.
The preferred location for the position is in Drammen, Norway. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.
What you will be doing
In this position, your work will be focused on Integrated Logistic Systems (ILS). You will be committed to administrating project-specific documentation and material data. This also includes engagement in ILS-related engineering and documentation activities. You add value by planning the work and balancing stakeholders' interests, facilitating getting the deliverables done in close cooperation with the program and project manager(s).
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have a degree in a relevant field such as mechanical, electrical, electronic or software engineering. You can be a recent graduate or you can have gained previous experience from the maritime industry, preferably you have knowledge and understanding of general Cyber Security. As Project Engineer, Navy Navigation, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Participate in engineering tasks as documentation, as well as in equipment deliveries and services.
- Facilitate technical solutions, including support for ILS documentation.
- Create ILS documentation as specified in the contract.
- Participating in internal project status and milestone reviews.
- Participating in project design review and integration reviews.
- Quality assurance of deliveries, documentation, and software.
- Proactive work together with the SAP Master Data team to update the files in SAP with component data and related documentation.
- Supply Support Planning in close cooperation with Sourcing and Obsolescence Management.
- Coordination of ILS-related Training Activities (in conjunction with the training team).
- Advise on any changes to designing and potential cost impacts.
- Support Navy vessel commissioning, test, and trials.
- Assist other team members as required and promptly resolve Quality/Design issues.
- Support stakeholder management, of external and internal stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Diploma/ BSc. in a relevant specialization, e.g. mechanical, electrical, electronic or software engineering.
- General Cyber security knowledge
- Preferably previous experience within the Maritime Industry
- Ability to obtain security clearance according to Norwegian National Security Authority regulations
- Fluent in English (communicate effectively in writing and verbally), preferably also fluent in the Norwegian language
- Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers and colleagues around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
