We are now looking for two more Software Developers to join our forward-thinking R&D Navy team of six, working for a better future. The location for the position is in Drammen, Norway.

What you will be doing 

In this role, you will be developing high-quality software applications for our advanced Integrated Navigation and Automation System. Our main products handled by our local team are ECDIS (electronic charts), radar and navigation sensor interfaces in addition to some automation modules. These products are used on navy vessels, cruise ships, and other large merchant vessels all over the world. If you find this thrilling, and in addition are driven by technical excellence and want to make an impact, this is the role for you!
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have a strong proficiency in object oriented programming languages and have a degree from Software Development or similar. As an ideal candidate, you have gained some experience with agile development processes. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have a curious mindset, an eagerness to learn about and develop new technologies and that you enjoy collaborating with team members.  

As a Software Developer, your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

• Software development covering all development phases (plan, design, implement, test, maintain, support) in complex Windows-based systems
• The products to be developed include Windows desktop applications, backend and interface processes, web applications, and database applications.

You will shine in this role, when you have:

• Master or Bachelor with a focus on software development or similar studies
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C# or C++  
• Familiarity with development environments such as Azure Devops or Jira and with agile development processes
• Good understanding of advanced networks is an advantage
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbally 
• It is a requirement to be able to obtain security clearance according to Norwegian National Security Authority regulations

In this role, some travel might be required to meet with our customers around the world. Generally between 0 to 4 trips each year.
