(Senior) Front-End Developer

For our Digital Development Department in Drunen, we are looking for an experienced Front-end developer who wants to work in an exciting environment directly influencing our customers businesses.

Together with your scrum team which consists of developers, testers and data scientist, you will work on the development of software which will be used for predictive maintenance services of our customers’ assets. Your focus areas will be the user interfaces towards our customers as well as the interfaces that allow our equipment experts to effectively use the data of hundreds of ocean-going vessels to provide insights toward our customers.


What are your main tasks and responsibilities?

  • You build and develop our new responsive web app that works well on a variety of screen resolutions and browsers.
  • You develop new features for our products and services which provide our customers with actionable information through multiple channels.
  • Participate in end to end development through prototyping, validation, implementation, launch, and further iterations.
  • You actively contribute to continuous integration efforts and improvements on our way of working.
  • You collaborate with UX designers to develop appealing and intuitive interfaces based on graphic designs or mock-ups.


What do we expect from you?

  • You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or at least 3 years of relevant experience with front-end-development; specifically: JavaScript (including ES6 or TypeScript), HTML5, CSS and Sass.
  • Experience with technologies like React, Vue.js, Angular, Ember or equivalent (React is a plus).
  • Experience with automated testing on different levels.
  • You have experience with back-end development (e.g. Java, Python) or experience working with BaaS (e.g. Firebase) is a plus
  • You have experience working in a team and willingness to be an active member in a scrum team.
  • Conceptual, analytical and creative thinker with a proactive attitude and ability to learn.
  • You are a team player, whilst being self-directing.
  • You can communicate effectively in written and spoken English.


Due to the international working environment and worldwide customers, you must be willing to travel 10% of your time for this position.  Location Drunen, Netherlands
