To ensure strong focus on Field Service activities in Central Europe, with own resources in UK, Netherlands, Germany and Poland and in close cooperation with FS stakeholders in other European locations, we are looking for a people oriented General Manager, Field Service Resources to join our Management Team.
The locations for this position can be in UK, Netherlands, Germany or Poland.
Your responsibilities & task will focus on:
- Lead, manage and developing Field Service resource and competence optimization according to the business requirements and demands in Region Central Europe.
- Ensure good collaboration with key internal stakeholder such as other Region Resources teams, our own Field Service operations, Workshops and Technical Services, in addition to local Sales and Sales Proposals teams.
- Strategic resource planning and talent management to ensure the right capacity and mix of competence through proactive development of the personnel within assigned organisation.
- Ensure the implementation of the processes, tools and way of working according to our Global business.
- Demonstrate leadership to ensure safety for our personnel, Quality of work and that environmental guidelines are followed.
- Promote Operational Excellence in the processes to improve the customer experience and customer value. Continuous improvement should be embedded in our daily activities to ensure building our learning organisation.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Relevant academical degree and/or proven work experiences
- Multiple years’ experience in managerial positions in Service delivery functions and good understanding of the Field Service processes
- People oriented mindset, proactive, a self-starter with the ability to work with demanding tasks under pressure.
- Committed, determined, persistent, and finalise what you have started
- You are a true collaborator, communicating and collaborating smoothly in English with variety of both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of financials of the Wärtsilä Field Services business
- Excellent team working skills and the ability to adjust and re-plan in dynamic situations
