We are searching for a
Head of Human Resources Netherlands
within our HR Local Operations team.
Change is a constant at Wärtsilä. We are searching for a new colleague to lead the HR Local Operations team, a team taking care of all local employment matters, employee consultations, payroll, and the local benefits setup amid these changes. The Head of HR for the Netherlands will, together with the team, work closely together with other parts of the People Services and larger HR organization, including the European service center (People Support Hub), the Recruitment team, the Centers of Expertise and Business HR. Locally the Head of HR will play an important advisory role to the Managing Directors and is part of the local management team. The Head of HR will act as the primary interface to the individual works councils and unions as well as the employer’s association.
Profile
- Master or Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline.
- Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in HR in a matrix-oriented environment.
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience
- Track record in building a high-performance HR team
- Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines (compensation & benefits, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management).
- Dedicated service mentality towards employees and internal stakeholders as well as hands-on attitude to coverboth managerial as well as day to day tasks
- Experienced in negotiating with Unions and Works Councils, experience with Metalektro is a pre.
- Good knowledge of process design in a cross-country oriented HR environment
- Proven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels in a matrix organization.
- Proven ability to deal with conflict and diffuse difficult situations.
- Solid knowledge of employment law and ability to apply legal concepts to real world situations.
- Fluency in Dutch, English
