“Service and client oriented technical support specialist”
The Product Lifecycle Developer in Technical Services is enabling first class technical support to the Propulsion portfolio and the installed base.
You are part of the Product Lifecycle Development (PLD) team and contribute to the Technical Services support capabilities through focus on product development support and creating deliverables that make our products perform during lifecycle.
The activities consist of design reviews, maintain and develop maintenance concepts, setting product requirements, all pillars of the PLD activities.
You are part of our Technical Services Propulsion which operates from two locations, Drunen, the Netherlands and Rubbestadneset in Norway. The team ensures customer satisfaction by providing high quality and on-time technical support enabled by world-class competences in propulsion equipment. The propulsion products consist of a variety of Steerable- and Transverse Thrusters, Controllable Pitch Propellers, Reduction Gears, Water Jets, reduction gearboxes, rudders and advanced control systems. You will report to our Manager Technical Services.

What are your main tasks and responsibilities?
- You ensure customer satisfaction by providing continuous improvement of the serviceability and maintainability levels for propulsion portfolio and installed base.
- Develop and apply lifecycle requirements in product development. Perform design reviews throughout the product development process to achieve the required serviceability level.
- Maintain and develop maintenance strategy for the Propulsion portfolio.
- Maintain and develop internal maintenance documentation.
- Support documentation development for customer manuals and bulletins.
- You work in close cooperation with lifecycle stakeholders Product Management, Field Service and Technical Information.
- You work in close cooperation with the partner teams within Technical Service Propulsion and Expert Services.
What do we expect from you?
- Master or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with design processes and/ or relevant experience with maintenance processes in the marine industry.
- A true team player with a proactive approach and technical reporting skills.
- You are a strong communicator with good organizational and analytical skills.
- Customer focused with a service minded attitude.
- You are willing to travel occasionally.
