Product Sales Manager

Parts and Field Services, Product Sales & Sales Support Organization is looking for a 

 

Sales Manager

 

to be responsible for developing the Propulsion lifecycle business for Marine Business AMER. Responsibility area would be the  Americas (USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile…).

 

In Parts and Field Services, we are accountable for sales, order, and delivery of spare parts as well as the development of spare parts offerings. We are passionate about helping Customers to execute maintenance intervals and recover from unexpected maintenance needs with a complete range of spare parts for 4-stroke engines, propulsion, turbochargers, and auxiliary systems. Parts Services is a global team of around 900 professionals located in over 30 countries.

 

We are looking for a result-driven sales professional with several years of experience from international services business. You have deep commercial and technical understanding of the aftersales products to engage in dialogue with different levels in the customer’s organization. Furthermore, you are willing to travel frequently and meet customers either together with frontline Sales or singlehandedly to continuously build and develop great customer relationships and to enable sales. You are a relationship and network builder with excellent customer and segment understanding, and you have excellent skills and abilities in negotiating and closing deals. You enjoy generating new opportunities to add value to our customers! And foremost, you get things done.

 

In this position you are reporting to General Manager, Product Sales AMER and the preferred location of the position is in one of the main locations: Drunen (NL), Vancouver / Halifax (CA), Rio de Janeiro (BRA). Other locations can be potentially considered.

 

In this role your main responsibilities are:

 

  • Sales and Order Intake together with Sales Pipeline for Propulsion transactional business for assigned countries
  • Develop and deploy a winning recipe for profitable growth for Propulsion Product Sales
  • Pro-actively managing the sales leads and opportunities in CRM and delivering the agreed sales targets
  • Exploring new business opportunities, aligning the customer needs and available technical solutions
  • Producing value propositions and detailed business cases to support opportunities, showing the impact of our solutions on customer business
  • As a part of the account teams, together with area sales, prepare account plans, account specific strategies and turn agreed strategies into sales actions
  • Sales intel utilisation within own team and designated region(s)
  • New products/solutions launch and promotion internally/externally

 

To be successful in the role, we expect that you:

 

  • Are a result orientated and self-driven person with can-do attitude, able to challenge old habits
  • Have excellent understanding of transactional business in a team selling environment with frontline Sales
  • Have conceptual sales skills and influencing power
  • Have ability to be agile when exploring alternatives upon competition

 

In this role, your success will be measured by:

 

  • Sales and Order Intake together with Sales Pipeline for Propulsion transactional business
  • Deployment of sales tools, processes and ways of working whilst developing sales analytics and its utilisation to improve hit rate, market share and high-level responses on time
  • Lead creation and converting those into opportunities
