We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Project Procurement Coordinator
to join our team
The preferred location for the position is in Drunen, The Netherlands.
What you will be doing
The candidate will be responsible for purchasing project-related (non-standard/special) materials, providing essential support to the sales department in soliciting offers from suppliers, and assisting with pricing agreements. Additionally, the Procurement Coordinator will actively participate in supply management meetings and maintain regular communication with strategic purchasing stakeholders.
We are working in a technical retrofit/services environment. The procurement activities contain purchasing of Controls/E&A, Hydraulics, Castings, Gearsets, Rental of equipment /external services and many more. Therefore, coordination between the engineering department and the supplier is of high essence. In our project delivery department, most of our products are custom made and therefore require engineering.
As Project Procurement Coordinator your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Execute project procurement activities in accordance with the project procurement plan.
- Provide guidance to the Project Manager to facilitate 'make or buy' decisions.
- Procure (non-standard/special) materials based on project requirements and technical specifications.
- Research the (international) supplier market to evaluate delivery options and reliability, including visiting (potential) suppliers.
- Receive, evaluate, and organize offers based on quality, price, and delivery options.
- Select suppliers based on quality and technical specifications, potentially consulting with the Project Manager.
- Negotiate prices, delivery times, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to suppliers.
- Address day-to-day supplier-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with the sales department to provide input during the quotation phase.
You will shine in this role, when you have:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience as a substitute for a degree.
- Experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably in a project delivery or manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software or ERP systems is preferred, with SAP being a particular advantage.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Technical background is not a must, but some interest to understand the jobs is required.
- A positive mindset and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
