Team-leader Propulsion Field Service Resources

As a part of this we are looking for an inspirational and highly energetic leader for the position of Team-leader, to proactively improve the planning of (multiple) resources for all specific jobs together with the regions including training and development of our own Field Service resources and knowledge sharing with the regions. To succeed in this role, we expect You to be a relationship builder with excellent understanding of Marine business segments and competitive landscape, being a self-driven person with can-do attitude challenging old habits. As a part of new Marine Power Parts Services organization, you will be part of the journey of establishing and driving the development of the Business Unit striving towards Smart Marine Strategy. In this position you are reporting to Manager resources and the location of the position is in Drunen, Netherlands.

 

In this role your main responsibilities are

  • Forecasting long-, medium- and short-term demands across customer operations, based on key inputs from the business and regions.
  • In co-operation with our recruiting department recruit new engineers in line with our long-term growth plan. Induction and supporting for new engineers Developing competences for all engineers within your team.
  • Develop and maintain the professional skills for the engineers within your team and maintain our professional skills management tool
  • Overseeing all propulsion service jobs within global field services, complexity of service projects and technical problems to be solved.
  • Prioritizing all current and incoming request for the resources amongst your team.
  • Engaging with the project service department to obtain customer and market specific work requirements to develop and prepare resources in an optimal way.
  • Ensuring a timely scheduling of Field Service Resources for installation, maintenance, service or commissioning projects at the customer location.
  • Ensuring clients are provided with the best teams of people, taking business needs and employees skills, capabilities and availability into consideration.
  • Ensuring all team members receive instructions and are provided with adequate information to successfully complete all tasks according to expectations, including required tools, PPE’s etc.
  • Resolving and managing the process around shortfalls and planning clashes in good co-operation with field service operations.
  • Gathering information about the quality of resources during project evaluation.
  • Developing and implementing initiatives and procedures that maximize service resource efficiency and scheduling effectiveness.
  • Initiating and implementing improvements to the resource planning process and the planning system to address all strategic challenges of the business.
  • Execute development discussions and reviews according to our HR process.

 

Main requirements in this role are

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in Planning Field Service resources.
  • Ability to coach the Team to develop opportunities through challenging market conditions.
  • Understanding and willingness to learn and to steer business efficiency between operations and resources.
