Main Responsibilities :
- Being the single point of contact in customs matters locally, to internal and external stakeholders(customers).
- Relationship with authorities such as local customs
- Customs monitoring, maintaining, and controlling of documentation requirements for various Customs requirements and programs
- Following up and coordinating customs clearances, incl. brokerage management
- Identifying local value-adding opportunities, minimizing compliance risks and minimizing (import)duties, the use of simplified entry procedures and local clearance authorizations
- Ensuring the integration of necessary customs compliance work activities into other functions' work streams to deliver customs compliance reliability 7. Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes
- Ensuring proper shipping documentation maintenance and preserving the import and export documents in specific folders and also taking care of the overall process of export/import by road/rail/sea/air.
- Visiting local customs and duly performing the day-to-day activities for such
- Any other tasks assigned by the Team Leader/ superior for Customs compliance monitoring.
