In-Situ Service Engineer

Main responsibilities Required:

 

  • Independently execute in-situ machining activities
  • Perform machining works in workshop environment as well as in field.
  • Perform In-situ machining works on Wartsila and other products.
  • Participate with improvements of In-situ machining equipment’s and products.
  • Participate in technical discussions/communications.
  • Perform workshop services as directed.
  • Report and inform administrative personnel as required.
  • Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
  • Ensure that the work is executed according to QuantiServ Quality.
  • Prepare Service reports and travel expenses on time and with expected QuantiServ quality.
  • Report executed work according to QuantiServ standards.
  • Promote QuantiServ and Wartsila Products and Services.
  • Safely execute all work according to QuantiServ and Wartsila Standards.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Degree or Professional Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent educational background.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant industrial experience with at least 3 years’ experience in In-situ machining.
  • Experienced in using In-situ machining crankpin equipment's, reference required.
  • An advance level of English Language and fluency in other language is a plus.
  • Experienced in using In-situ line boring, milling, drilling and lathe equipment's, reference required.
  • Experienced in using workshop machines such as manual lathe, milling and drilling machines.
  • Knowledge in using Laser alignment equipment.
  • Use of measuring equipment such as large micrometres.
  • Metal stitching experience is highly recommended.
  • An advance level of using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook etc) and ability to learn in-house systems for operations and business needs.
